I bought Pleasure for my wife last year(Jan 2010), the scooter is good for whole family use, now a days I use more than my wife, it’s very convenient for short distance commute and a great company for shopping. I thought Activa is bulkier for my wife and she liked the Pleasure upon test rides. I never take my Unicorn to shopping as there is no provision to carry anything in a motorcycle.
Hero Honda quality is honestly better, We have not faced any problem till date and everything is stock and no changes of any parts. Our pleasure has completed 9000 kms.The scooter is very smooth and has adequate power for two adults and one kid, it can go fast as well and has good power all the way upto 70kmph speed. Suspensions are also very good, seats are also positioned correctly.
The scooter can be serviced under free scheme upto 20, 000kms or 730 days which ever is early. This is very beneficial scheme as we need to pay only for consumables and no charges for labor/repair etc etc. One more good thing is minor repairs are done by most Hero Honda svc pretty quickly and they never charge you.
There is also free roadside assistance for pleasure in Bangalore city limits and is very useful for ladies who will find it difficult to even push the scooter. So far we have not availed as we didn’t face any problems. Once we had a flat tyre due to some metal piece on the road.
Boot space is adequate, the bike feels light weight compared to competition, I heard there is no problem in getting any spares of Hero Honda. The graphics on the scooter is cool and is head turner.
Fuel efficiency is also very reasonable at about 45kmpl it may be more than that if driven sanely.
I recommend this scooter for those who don’t like Activa for some reason, it’s a good family scooter, best for girls and ladies. Trust me I feel comfy on Pleasure as well. There’s nothing girly about this scooter except the ads, it’s completely no-nonsense scooter at relatively lower price and best in India service back up of Hero Honda.
