I wanted to purchase a two wheeler, which me as well as my wife can drive. I had short listed Honda Activa, Scooty Pep and Hero Honda Pleasure. Activa was a little heavy for my wife as she is the first timer. Scooty pep was too girlish for me to use. :-) I found Pleasure too be good at the outset. So we bought one at 42K from Right Motors in Banashankari in Feb 2008. And till now I have really liked this vehicle...
One good thing is its descent looks. To add to it, it has a good mileage (around 50 kmpl). I have not run into any problem till now. Running is preety smooth. Good pickup, nice braking system. Good balance. can get to speed of 60 without any shaking. Also button start haven’t given me any trouble till now. Despite the tagline being ’Why boys should have all the fun!’, I don’t mind driving it. :-)
Few things I didn’t like about Pleasure is its front storage facility. That storage box attached to the front of the vehicle is good for nothing. can’t keep anything more than few papers there. Even storage below the seats is not that impressive.
But overall, its really worth the money spent. This being first attempt of Hero Honda to enter this segment, it really needs to be appluaded. Good work u guys!!!
