I have done a lot of research in 100cc - 110 cc and atlast decided between discover / Hero. Coming to discover when I did test drive it looked good and they claim a whoping mileage. But when I tried my friends discover I felt lot of vibration and noise. Even many people told Don’t go for discover since it doesn’t be the same after 6 months. Then I did test drive on Passion and Splendor, Power and pick up wise I didn’t see much difference but handling was better in Passion. But it was over priced when compared to splendor. So atlast I sticked with splendor and booked splendor NXG for new graphics better than conventional splendor pro.
I finished my first service and I drive mostly in city traffic and I felt the control and ride quality are good.It is easy to pass in narrow gaps and drive. Below 60 it goes like butter. Above 60 You start feeling vibration in your legs from petrol tank. Every morning engine stalls when idling after kick starting(it is heavy monsoon out here in kerala and temperature is also low), but if you drive for 5 mins, then no stalling problem even with electric start.
Lights are ok, It could have focussed more bottom, since I drive over some humps especially when some high beam cars comes opposite
Brakes are good and it depends from person to person how they drive and how they apply brake. gear shifting is smooth.
Coming to skidding problem, alwasy apply brake gradually and I didn’t face any skiiding problem in roads, Hill drive. But in my parking lot when you stop suddenly from 30kmph on wet surface it skidded, but the vehicle is light you can easily hold it. so on cement floor make sure you go slow.
Mileage- it gives around 70 where I drive between 40-60
Service- I own an activa(DAD’s) where the Hondas service was very worst and almost they looted us when we bought the vehicle( They charged some 1200 RS more when we went for delivery stating the cost has changed after paying 50k advance in previous day) and during service also they refused to change defective lock for free which ahd problem during delivery time itself and atlast after going more than 5 times they changed it reluctantly. But Hero, they care us well and treat professionally no hidden costs, during service also it was good.
In my opinion for city drive you can defenitely go for NXG, better looks than splendor, Passion is costlier but looks are good.
