I had bought the bike in 2005 and still it is still giving 50-60 average not bad at all.
problem in the bike
1. The electrical parts, the horn always has some problem or other, side stops flashing, and all other cosmetics problems
Control : It starts skiding at 45-50 (I think it might be because of slim tyres they use)
Style : It has been a problem in all the hero honda bikes. compared to bajaj they have been lagging too much behind.
Now good things
It will never betray you. Whether its heavy rain or hot summer its performance has been the same. (Girls wonn’t look at you but u will be always on time at the office).
Service station is good but not too great.
I would like to say that in comparison to discover and all other bikes if you are looking for speed and looks then its better you go with that discover or whatever else but if you are simple guy just looking for reliable bike which will be ready to go whenever you ask for then you should choose splendor.
splendor can hardly go upto 60 kmph. Its starts shaking at 45 kmph and skids at 40-50 now and then.
