I had been a silent spectator for a long time.
Now I had one good reason to come with a Review on one of the best selling bikes of India.
I think this article will be of seeing the bike from a different prespective.
I was holding this bike for around One year, I bought(From Singh Motors, Pune) it just because all felt that its the best bike of that time (July ’04).
Then I had some bad time in knowing the naked truths of the bike.
Problem 1:
I had used the bike only on the pune city roads but the back tyre had a cut in its joint in the inner side before crossing 1100Kms. I was shook by the performance of the tyre which came as a standard fitting with the new vehicle. After which I had to go to the dealer of HH then had a letter to be collected and go to the tyre dealers where they calculated some Rs.60 for the wear and tear amd also had to pay the guy who replaced the tyre from my packet.
Problem 2:
The bike from the time I got it, I had some problem with the brake shoes of my back wheel. When ever I apply the brakes It dosent happen properly, But the service centre people confirmed me that the performance was pretty good.
Problem 3:
The bikes fuel efficiency after often getting it tuned in HH authorised service centres also never improved above 50 KMPL on city roads.
Problem 4:
Now comes my worst days where I could know one naked truth that the Locking system of HH Splendor plus is not pretty good and any local bike thiefs have a greatest success rate in openning the lock and stealing it. the truth about the Larcency rate of HH splendor plus was known to me by August 05 when I locked and left my bike in my Bangalore residence. When I was visiting police station to get help to trace my bike. I came to know that HH Splendor and Splendor plus are the bikes which can be unlocked easily by any bike theif and so it has also the greatest rate and possibility of getting stolen. Which usually a common happening in a city like Bangalore.
So I suggest the owners of stop complaining on the various faults in HH Splendor plus and always have another reliable lock and use it regularly when parking them at various places.
If else it will happen as it happened to me to lose the bike and repend for it by running behind one of the worst corrupt state goverments department of India and lose lots of money in Bribing them.
