I have a Sleek, for 10 years now. I service it at home. Its cheaper that way. My job demands that I leave the bike idle for a month while I am away at work and then I am back on leave for a month, when I use it. I disconnect the battery & place it on main stand when left idle.
The bike has always started on the first kick. After a whole month, when it does that time and again, its a real amazing feeling. Its been like that ever since I can remember. Being a four stroke, regular oil changes and tune up is a must. At 8 years, I got the engine overhauled at the service center.
Other than that I have done little in terms of maintenance. It still has many years service left. I did have a problem with tank leaks, and so I replaced it with a new one. I understand that since this model, Hero Honda increased the gauge of metal used on their bikes parts. Also since manufacturing of the sleek stopped, I did have problems for body parts etc. But not for engine and other working parts.
All in all, I say, that if I were to recommend a bike to any body, I suggest the splendor for its value for money. Not because Ive owned one, but cause it comes from the stable as the sleek & Ive had one of those. Its something I can vouch for.
