Hi ,
I have been riding Splendor since March 2003 and feel that it is one of the most comfortable and reliable bike in the segment. Though you migh not have a very powerfull pickup but the bike is very smooth and steady. One thing I am unhappy with is the average.
My bike gives me about 58-60 on city road condition at an average speed of about 45 kmpl with single rider.I actually am expecting about 65. but apart from average really a no problem bike
I have tried riding other bikes also. Victor, crux, freedom before I made the purchase. Following are my comments on these --
crux : I was attracted to it by the yamaha brand name but did no purchage it thinking that the product was not yet matured at that time.
freedom : I simply did not fell comfortable while seating on the bike. For me the ride was not at all comfortable.
victor : too noisy and the looks are rough. And apart from that you can mark a lack of elegance in the exterior design.
Finally opted for Splendor: the major reason been that the product was very sucessful in the market and as an engineer I am very much aware that the more the product is old the more will be research and developerment of it in all aspects. According to the feedback from the market and the feedback or the RND team the product is always under a continuos improvement process. - Rinku
