Well, I have bought my splendor in early 1996 and I still ride on it - just so smooth as day one and as comfortable. My bike has always been good to me whether it is a short bumpy road or a long stretch of hundreds of kilometers. At times, I have driven it continuously for 100+ kilometers but I haven’t faced this problem any time. I was kind of felt to have a break for a drink or so BUT NOT MY BIKE!
I have increased the pickup of my bike just after I felt that the standard setting they do at service line is a bit low. Till now, I always get the same mileage of 65-68km/litre till now, almost for straight 8 years...
Hero Honda has got a decent dealer network, and good after sales service. I really like some technicians they have t their workshops than their service. They always get a good help for me. Once in a while, I just walk-in to the showroom, call my regular service mechanic/ technician and ask him to check my bike. He always says there is no problem and bike is in good condition.
Once I had to go on an emergency and I had to take my cousins (4 no) with me. No other 4 wheeler was around so I just took Splendor. Believe me, I was at ease, riding on splendor with 5 people (including me) on it. Moreover, it was so stable at speed of 60-70 with all of us.
I tried another model (CBZ) and I was so uncomfortable. Main reason was the gear shift mechanism. It was so awkward, painful and moreover it will spoil your boots. The gear shift rod for splendor was so ergonomically designed that I get a pain using my car gear shift pedal but not on Splendor!
Having mentioned on my car, many times I just cant decide whether I should go on my car and just take Splendor and zoom off. What it means to me is, Splendor matches the comfort level of riding my car!
Cheers folks !
