Hi I am using splendour for the past 4 years. It is overall good. At first it gave 80+ mileage per litre. And I changed its electrical system with powerful headlight 100/130, and 35Ah battery. now using HID XENON bulb. Now mileage 60-70 per litre. Its good for city driving only, not suitable for highways at night time. The head light is very very bad. I travel daily 200kms approximately. Handling and control is concerned this bike is not stable even at 50 kms speed. In one occasion I did harsh braking, when a car overtook a lorry and I was in opposite. But my bike skidded towards right. Luckily I had a narrow escape from accident. Wherever I go I use my splendour only, I don travel by bus. I ride in 50kmph in high ways and 30-40kmph in city for safety. And I have also driven in heavy rains so that I couldn’t see anything in front of me, in highways at night time, due to my powerful xenon headlamp I could drive, even cars broke down in that rain(nano, maruthi etc). And in state highway, almost 7 or 8 times, the running water level in road was half of my bike, and unknowingly, I drove at 40kmph, water splashed above my handle bars. But my splendour didnt let me down. Its really a good bike for smooth driving. Cons: Headlight, so very very dangerous in night driving, Rajeev_Vermacially when 4 wheeler is coming opposite, the light blind your eyes, the moment you slow down, the headlight also go down. And this is very danger due to potholes, big stones, roadside projecting prick plants Hero honda should consider this head light part in all hero honda bikes. This bike is really good in performance, for a person who wants to spend little money or no money on maintainence can surely go for this bike.
