I had bought the ’’Super Splendour’’ last month, Mar 23, to be exact. So, the first service is over.
I had taken it on long ride next day itself. Trivandrum - Ernakulam (209 kms.) Did it @ 5.45 hrs / 50kmph (max) / 3 breaks (10 min). Didnt scorch as it is a new bike. After that, I have been using it at the campus, with a visit to the city thrown in once or twice.
MILEAGE: I was getting 56 before the service. Now, a whopping 65 kmpl. Keep the Tyre pressure right and Fuel above reserve, it gives solid, constant mileage. That really satisfies me. The other bikes in the same category Discover, Victor, Fazer give only 55 max.
POWER: Easily better than Splendour and same as Passion. But Discover, Fazer will easily outrun it. Does 90 kmph maximum, with no problem and full swing. Discover starts fizzing at 65 kmph.
LOOKS: Frankly, is very poor. Victor is the best, followed by Discover. Even, the Frog Faced Fazer has its charm.
COMFORT: Best. Simply Class. I was very fresh and going, even after that TVM - EKM ride. Very much comfortable. But, I think, height-wise, it is on the lower side.
MAINTENANCE: Is a breeze. You have got 3 years guarantee and a well - networked chain of Hero Honda Service Stations. No jhanjhat.
GEARS: Felt same as Splendour or Passion. Smooth, no knocking, in whatever gear. Great for city riding.
PRICE: A bit too much compared to Discover, Victor. Same as Passion. Guess I have to pay for that ’’Hero Honda’’ value.
You can see, I am on the wrong side of ’’Technical Knowledge’’. But, have tried to write a review, in a language, I know and understand. If possible, please rate my review.
