The Hero Karizma ZMR is the Gurgaon-based two-wheeler maker’s flagship motorcycle. It was originally launched as just the Karizma in 2003 and has been on sale in various avatars for the last 11 years. This current model was unveiled at the 2014 Auto Expo and then launched in June this year.
This bike is a part of Hero’s new range and gets a relatively new design as compared to the outgoing model. The faring has been raised and the graphics have been revised but overall the design remains as the familiar Karizma silhouette.
It is powered by a 223cc single cylinder fuel injected engine that produces 20bhp and 19.7bhp. Power is sent to the rear wheel via a five-speed manual gearbox. The bike is underpinned by a diamond frame chassis with hydraulic shocks in front and a five-step adjustable GRS system for the rear. It gets a 276mm disc in front and 240mm disc in the rear.
Standard features include a fully digital instrument gauge with dual trip meters as well as clock as a part of the package. Hero offers the Karizma ZMR in three colours-red, black and white.
