Inevitable devil

Necessary Devil in the true sense... for a 64 CC engine, pumping out 4.5 BHP, sensible enough for the hard and fast college days. I had used it during my college days and I’ll share my personal experience with you.

Has good pickup. (initial acceleration makes you feel the punch when you compare urself to other scooty/moped peers) Engine performance is very much dependent on the initial days of usage and needs a experienced technician to adjust carb. settings.

Suspension was really soft and Mileage: If on a single ride - 65 to 75 kmpl ; Max comfort ride - 8-9 kms Double ride - 55 to 65 kmpl ; Max comfort ride - 4-5 kms Triple ride - 50 to 60 kmpl ; Max comfort ride - 2-3 kms Suggestions to get best out of your puch.

  • Add a front dickey (fills up the space and gives a mini sport bike feel)

  • Add a Halogen bulb for enhanced brightness

  • Find out the spark plug hack... it does the trick and gives you improved mileage

  • Replace rear tyres with the Dunlop make (Wider and more gripper)

  • Get the raised mudguard and connect sidelights (preferably the caliber one)

  • Put a bajaj scooter horn to get rid of the ’moped’ horn

  • Use Castrol 2T oil always

  • Put maruti 800 engine oil for your puch and change after every 8000 kms. (700ml reqd)

  • Put the vehicle on sale after you cross 25000 kms. Ideally this vehicle is suitable for students who are really bothered about the mileage in this segment. But you have lots of wear and tear. Unfortunately other than Kinetic zing none other offers you the mileage, so if you are looking in terms of investing for good mileage go for it.

Another drawback is the up while your puch gets a puncture. it’s not an easy DIY task and takes hell lot of time to get it up. But you have to get the vehicle serviced frequently to keep it running in top performance. wear and tear of parts is frequent. The high treble sound from the silencer has a competitive edge over.

Pros : good speed and economy

Cons: poor resale value, high maintenance costs, frequent repairs, punctures
