The music in this album was supposed to inspire people, as of course the movie had patriotic, rebellious and controversial themes.
I expected for the songs to really hook me up as later did the songs of Rakesh OM Prakash Mehra’s Rang de Basanti, but unfortunately it did not. I have my favourite sections of even the most plain songs, but none of the songs of this album had even those. Occasionally a good beat here and there but nothing else apart from it.
