One is always skeptical about kidnapping movies and so, it was with great skepticism that I rented this video and took some time out to watch it.
It is packed with events from the very beginning when Ann (played by the tall, gorgeous blonde Darryl Hannah) is kidnapped and taken to a secluded place. She awakens from a hypodermic shot to the sight of a really psychotic couple Helen and George Benton. They are desperate for a baby and thats what Ann has or atleast is about to have in a couple of months.
Ann and her husband Jack, have been the victims of miscarriages and badly want this baby too. When they were told that she wasn’t pregnant, Ann and Jack are heart-broken but they love each other enough to never give up.
However, the pregnancy test results are doctored by the ’’doctor’’ Benton. George has now kidnapped Ann so she can have his and Helens baby in their home. In the meantime, he has arranged for a very bad accident to show that Ann is dead.
Months roll on and several attempts at escaping prove futile to Ann. She comes very close to escaping several times but they’re much too fast for the pregnant woman. Things take on a turn for the worse when George pisses his wife off by trying to rape Ann. She shows it with a baseball bat and a whole lot of cooking and pureeing! Totally grosse scene mates!
Meanwhile Anns husband Jack is trying to get the police to find her body but they can’t seem to find one. Several clues lead him to believe that his beloved wife is not dead. By a twist of luck, Ann escapes far enough to make one phone call to Jack! And his quest begins...
The movie had me gripped to the edge of my seat. The suspense is fabulous. Will Ann escape? Will the psycho Helen kill her or perform her own version of a caesarean on Ann? Will Jack get to Ann on time or will her fall victim to Helens baseball bat as well? You must watch the movie!
