Parking attendants create unnecessary problems

Phoenix is a superb place for absolutely everything. No complaints on the shopping front.

However parking attendents need to be taught few basic manners.

  1. On a working Monday, phoenix is as good as deserted. P1 has ample parking, even after leaving aside one part of P1, that is allotted to Sai Services to park their vehicles.

  2. Yet as you drive down to park, the attendant has shut the parking. So, one has to show him the cars moving out. When he sees that, he moves the barrier. Other times he moves the barrier is when he sees luxury cars or cars that have plastic plates that state " ON BMC DUTY, POLICE, INCOME TAX COMMISSIONER" etc or RED BEACON that is put on the dash board.

  3. Once the barrier is moved, if you are lucky, there is no second barrier on the left hand side of the payment counter. If there is one, the next attendant tries your patience. Eventually he moves the barrier.

  4. Once you enter, lane one is closed with red plastic pillars that are tied with red plastic tapes, apparently directors parking. This is just to ensure high end cars are allowed. 2 parking spaces for handicap parking, but under that pretext several other slots are also blocked. You show them the board, they argue, you argue and you get parking. and handicap parking always has cars of non-handicap people.

  5. Last but not the lease, if a female is in the driver’s seat the attendants are at their best in bossing around. All this has been pointed out en number of times to the parking office on P2, but they only IGNORE.

Why the discrimination and why this attitude?
