High Resort , Lonavala belongs to the Highland Group of Holidays with whom we had a short but very painful association as member.
We are travel crazy people & so one day when we were invited for presentation in Kalyaninagar by an unknown Holiday Company , we fell an easy prey. They explained us it’s a part of Bajaj Group of Companies. It’s called Bajaj Highland holidays . They also had posters telling that they belong to Bajaj Group.
A name that we all trust & know.It was also mentioned that they are like Club Mahindra!! but much cheaper version. Now there are times when the even a sane person behaves in a most foolish manner. Jan 13th was a such a date for us & we subscribed to this Company. 50K was the amount at stake.We signed the papers without reading it all - because we were all so tired after the long speech by the sales person, it`was 9pm & the associate claimed that they have explained us all so no need to worry. Faith is something you should never have when it’s money involved , that too hard earned.
We came home & when we started reading the terms & conditions things started to become fuzzy. All the promises like - they have family suits where 6 ppl can be accommodate with night charge of 1 suit , they have car drop & pickup fascility free of charge , they have holiday resorts everywhere in India, they shall provide cooks , they per`day charge shall never exceed Rs 700 , the resorts are all 5 * , some 3* etc etc were not written anywhere. The brochure arrived after some days & it was not even a proper booklet. In the brochure , there was no mention of the word Bajaj anywhere & it stated to be part of some Csion Group! Some black & white photocopies with list of hotels - all of them below 3* - hardly any 5* .They hardly own any resorts & most of the mentioned hotels were affliatWe called up customer service to validate theion. All the earlier promises were false - if 6 of you travelling then you pay for 2 rooms not 1. Every other thing that the executive has said was false. The executive could not be traced & the CS ppls says that membership can not be cancelled as well!!! Began a long drawn emotional battle where we kept on saying that we are completely annoyed with the integrity of the Company & want to cancel. After a long drawn war of words , repeated visit to their MG road office , we finally was able to convince them . After 25%deduction we got back the rest after 60 days time. A well taught lesson that all that glitters is not gold. Want each one to know that we have such Companies doing business & we can be easy prey - So please watch out & read everything before you sign...
