Being a resident of Bandra I know where you get the best food and some places that need to be avoided like the plague! Highway Gomantak is a well known joint located at Bandra East which serves some amazing and mouthwatering Goan and Marathi style fish preparations.
I went here last week with my family and we all had a great time wolfing down fresh fish wrapped in delicious masalas and in curries.
We settled down and called for a plate of Bombil Fry, Rawas Fry and Kolambi(Prawns) Fry. We called for Kokum Kadhi to drink, which is made of Coconut Milk and Kokum, and has some chillies and salt added to it.
The starters arrived piping hot and fresh and wow, these fishes were the best thing that ever happened to us! For the Mains we all called for different Thails that came with their share of rice, and any choice of Fish and Indian bread. I called for a Pomfret Curry Thali, and I chose to have chapatis in the Thali.
If someone gives me this everyday, I will eat it with zero complaints! Really! Another local delicacy is the Kharwas made out of fresh Cows Milk and tastes heavenly! What a sweet end to a delicious meal! Every penny worth spent here. See you soon at Highway Gomantak.
