Himalaya - best bet for its price!

To loose some pounds my friend advised to have green tea often. Since plain green tea has insufferable flavor, I was told to add two spoons of honey to make it palatable.

So I went to hunt(no no.just the supermarkets around) for so-called’pure’ honey. Gawd.I never knew that we have so many brands to choose from. I already use Himalaysa’s toothpaste, body lotion and face foaming wash. Without second thought I plunge on the Himalaya’s Forest Honey. When other imported brands costed more than Rs 300 for 500g, this costed just Rs 145. As per the usual mindset of a desi, first thing came into my mind was "With half the price of the imported brands, will this even pass the mutter in quality?". Yet I took it reluctantly.

First look - When most other brands comes in plastic bottles, this one comes in a hard glass bottle which is good. Flower and bee patterns adds beauty.

Now the actual content - when the bottle is opened what I get to see is a thick sauce-like liquid in golden color. A quick question arises to me is - is it true that real-honey would be this much thick? I have once seen extracting honey from bee-wax and it was little watery.

It smells strong and I had a weird thought that it smells like blood(?!).

The taste of the honey was alright but it was more like a preparation rather than raw honey. I felt it tasted almost the real honey but still it lacks the original flavor. I also doubt that sugar or sugar like substance could have get into this bottle.

Otherwise, it makes my green tea more edible;)
