I went for this movie with too much expectation owing to the hype around it and of course Irfann Khan. He has a persona which charms one and all. His acting skills have been proven time and again and this time his character has a perfect comic timing . Hindi medium is an unconventional story where Raj( Irfann) and Meeta(Saba Qamar) are living a regular life with their daughter Piya. The main story revolves around the turmoils and pains the parents undergo for their child’s admission. Its a funny experience yet leaves us with a message that keeps lingering in our minds even after we leave the theatre. How modern day education system has made complete mockery of humanity is what the story is about.Do watch the movie for a great experience. I loved it a lot. However there are a few drawbacks .Saba Qamar’s overacting is cringeworthy. You wish you could watch more of Deepek Dobriyal. Irfann shines above all .
I am going with 3.5 stars for this one.
