Now a days people are so fascinated about the Western culture, they are forgetting the heritage and essence of the “great” Indian culture. Similarly today people are forgetting their mother tongue and are always bashing in English.
Hindi medium is a Hindi Comedy Drama film which reminds us our ancestral language and projects the slow degradation of our hindi language.It iswritten by Zeenat Lakhani and directed by Saket Chaudhary. The prime actors in the film are Irfan Khan, Saba Qamar and Deepak Doriyal. The basic plot of the film is the couple wants their daugher to give the best education as every parents want to give their children, but in the process they go to extreme level to make th ething accomplish. It also projects the typical society and the high class schools where admission of a child goes through the process of interviewing parents as if the parents are going to study in the school not the child.
It clearly projects that knowing Hindi or not knowing English is not a sign of illeteracy. A similar movie was produced in bengali named “Ramdhanu”, produced by Shibaprasad Mukherjee.
Coming to the performance, Irfan leaves no doubt in his acting every time . But this time Saba and Deepak also joined the legacy. The music is given by Sachin Jigar, the music can be more emphatical according to me. Laxman Utekar remains the man behind cinematography which is well and good undoubtful.
