1997 - 1.8 Contessa Classic GL
Bought it as I always wanted to own one. Mainly because of its classic looks and styling. (Not to mention to accomodate my 6’2’’ frame) Love it for the space, comfort, power (car’s been modded), control and style. Have replaced the orignal tyres from 13’’ to 15’’ * 215 * 65 and has made a huge difference in the looks of the car too.
On the overall a good value for money if you are buying a second hand one. Have a lotta friends who have converted to gas and have no complaints since about the running costs.
Have used it umpteen number of times for long drives and it has never let me down even once till date. (not to mention that I have managed to touch 150 on this)
Buy it: If you dont mind the looks (Old that is)
Dont buy it: if you want to save money on gas and if the car does not have power steering.
Try it and get hooked.
