Poor Packing and lack of ownership of missing item

I bought a Hindware EWC (model Enigma) paid about Rs 8000 and while fitting my plumber told me that there is a bracket that is missing from the seat cover. I called up my dealer who provided it and he tells me it was all there in the box. Unfortunately I couldn’t check all the details as on the box it only says Enigma seat cover and doesn’t have any index of items that should accompany it.


To my horror, the dealer Maruthi Ceramics shrugs their shoulders saying it was checked and knowing their checking process am sure they didn’t as had similar problem with them with other products not checked(Had a box of tiles delivered with a few of them cracked inside which was supposed to been checked). I was directed to the Hindware support team who again just write off any ownership that it was missing and only insist you have to pay for it.


At the end I had to shell out another Rs 650 for the bracket just because I didn’t check that it was there on delivery. And they claim that they never miss a part. I was surprised at the packing too there is no seal on the seat cover and just placed in another box right below the EWC.


I suggest that people stay away from them and go with Parryware instead.
