I am an avid customer of Hitachi Air conditioners. 2 of my 1.5 Tons Hitachi Window ACs that have been purchased 13 years back and another 2.0Ton Hitachi Atom Split UV purchased 10 years ago are functioning without any complaints. I had to sell 1 of my Hitachi Logicool 2.0 T AC 18 months back due to frequent breakdowns(that Machine was under AMC for 11 years) and again I bought another 2.0 T Summer RAV322ESD 18 months back.
I now regret buying another Hitachi product. This new machine is under AMC after the 1 yr warranty period and I have been facing innumerable no of breakdowns with this new machine just after the warranty period is over and their service personnel are grossly untrained and fiddles with your machine. It seems the training that Hitachi imparts are on the customer’s ACs. Complaints are attended at least 2-3 days after registering it and in the meantime I am the person who is suffering.
I am fed up with Hitachi AC’s and advice against buying it. The older machines were exceptionally good but the newer ones are simply horrible.
Hitachi charges at least 11/2 to 2 times the charge of a normal ACs and this is the quality of the product that you get. Now I have realised why the salesman advised me against buying a Hitachi AC when I went to buy my 5th AC from them. He said that the ACs are not used to be as good as the ones were in the past.
I STRONGLY ADVISE ANYONE BUYING A HITACHI AC. I am paying a price for it and will never again buy another Hitachi product.
