I bought Hitachi split A.C. this summer as I thought Hitachi will live upto its brand name.
But more than 2 months after buying the A.C. and spending a lot of time and money on calling customer care I have not been able to use the A.C. for even a single day. The entire investment of 35k has been wasted and I am considering of going to consumer court.
I have posted on various online forums and got a lot of calls from helpless people who bought Hitachi A.C. and are facing similar or even worse service related problems. Hitachi’s all the focus is on sales and has outsourced the service department to various contractors who are openly cheating and harassing the customers.
My experience from this entire episode is go for a A.C. brand which has a good service support in India and surely avoid brands like Hitachi because service is a very important aspect of any A.C.
