I bought this air conditioner last year (2012). However within 6 months of use its PCB circuit was blown away (PCB circuit is the one which controls the fan speed, cooling, on, off etc). Since then I have been calling Hitachi customer care as well as engineers who took blown PCB for repair. As of April 2013 after numerous calls both to Hitachi helpline as well service people, nothing has happened.
Hitachi Customer care informed me that PCB circuit only comes with new air conditioner and is not made separately and cannot be repaired.I have spent so much money and my hard earned money has gone down the drain. I suggest go with cheaper air conditioners as life of the rotary compressors is same for every brand i.e 5 to 6 years.
Further, there is no difference in cooling power as claimed by these high end brands. This is my personal experience after using air conditioners like O’ General, Hitachi, Samsung, Voltas, Onida etc. The twin motor claims to make low fan noise.
However, this is not true. I found that noise levels are same when compared with ACs that come with single motor. Please do not buy This AC.
