This is a review of the R26NVND model, not RS31SVND. This is because Mouthshut does not let us suggest new products or models.
The biggest reason we went for this fridge is its compact size and its large space inside. This is achieved by having a thinner insulation on the walls. Whereas Indian fridges have a 3-3.5" wall thickness, this one is only around 1".
It is an entirely trouble-free model, frost free, and with three separate areas. The upper area has a hinged door with a light, the second and third compartments are drawers without any lighting. The upper area is for general stuff, the middle is for vegetables(it is humidity controlled), the lower drawer is the freezer.
We have been using this fridge for the last 2 years and had no major problem. The service team response is also good. Only the acrylic shelves gave way because of constant overloading, we bought two new shelves of stronger build from Hitachis service agent in Mahim for Rs 780/-. It would have cost me 250/- more had I called for it at home.
Overall, a great product with an understated, minimalistic look. Those who like understated looks will love this model. I dont know about its energy efficiency as the BEE ratings were not there when I bought it, its worth checking out now before buying.
