I recently bought a Refrigerator Hitachii R-S37SVND, a 438 Ltr, 3-door model from Raj Electronics, Dwarka, New Delhi. After a week he delivered the product. There is no complaint in the product except that it looked old!
To investigate, I reached the showroom and immediately the mystery was clear- the demo model was missing from its place! When confronted, the showroom manager was still adamant that he had delivered a brand new product but then one of his assistants let the cat out of the bag by saying that since the showroom is only a week old, how does it matter! some cheeks.
On further checking up next day, I found that the bill handed over by the dealer was only a delivery challan. Who says Natwarlal is dead. Also, there is no user manual or warranty card accompanying the product. So, I rang up the Hitachi Call Centre and they gave me the No of Delhi Sales Head. When I rang up Mr Sales Head, he was busy and he told me that he would ring back in half an hour. after three hours, when I gave a reminder call then he told me that he would call back in next five minutes!
Since the sales head felt small in calling me up, his assistant gave me a ring after some time and I conveyed the points to him. He assured me that he would check up immediately and come back to me. I am waiting now and have decided to go to consumer forum after a wait of exactly 48 hours.
Will post the developments to all concerned. In the meanwhile, beware of sweet talking Raj Electronics.
