I purchased a Hitachi split AC 1.5 Ton(RAU 517ISD 5 STAR) for home. After 20 days of installation, when temperature started shooting up, I felt that cooling was in effective. I lodged a complaint to Hitachi India on Toll Free no on 05 May 12 at 0940 hrs.
It is now 11 May 2012, 1900 hrs & after one week, my problem has yet to be resolved. Every time, I talk to designated authorised service agency, they start narrating their problem & most of the time I’m convinced that their problem is more genuine so I have to wait.
I’m trying to figure out whether Product is faulty or Service support exists? I’m now sort of dis-appointed with the response from the Company.
Today on 14 May, a clueful mechanic found following:-
(a) Air filter is torn
(b) Gas pressure is just 30(half of required level)
A new ac costing 42K having these problems is surprising.
Part II
I lodged a complain on 16 June(12061600151) for my new split AC(a) I Clean not working(b) Filter mesh torn .
A technician attended the compliant on 19 Jun but couldnt solve the problem. On his sheet, I wrote remarks that Problem not solved. He said that somebody else will come to resolve it. I waited for 6 days & then called Cusomer care number on 25 June.
To my horror, I was told that my complaint has been closed. Same thing happened for 05 May complaint(12050500144) where I had written Remark that filter is torn but no action was taken.
My problem with authorised repair agency is as follows:-
(a) All technician who come to attend the complaint want to convince me that there is no problem(literally every time theyhave tried to fool)
(b) Nobody in Hitachi reads the sheet for any observation by customer
(c) Time to attend and resolve a problem is very high 10-14 days.
