First we planned to Purchase I clean model, Due to short dimension and our room’s horizontal dimension didn’t match, we got Hitachi - 518 ETD 1.5 ton AC ACE follow me. Normal operating Noise is high. Silent mode helps a bit.~ 60 days, Vertical swing blade melted away from its position and left loose.
Reason the service person gave us, Board in indoor unit heated up while Air condition is not in use and still stabilizer is on). Advised us to switch off supply to stabilizer when not in use.
But we rarely did this and surprised to see this happening to Hitachi Brand(and its price). Got replaced, but they say will not get this again(even though in warranty period).
Filter indicator started glowing after 120 Hours and even after cleaning it still glows red. When checked with service personal, they gave some work around in remote control and no real solution or explanation. Lot of complicated operating modes, need patience to go through the manual.
