I purchased a 3 Door 366 Litres R-S31NVND Refrigerator in Nov’2006 for Rs. 37000. Within 12 months the refrigerator stopped working on after repeated complaints to Hitachi Service Division, it was picked up from my residence.
I was told that the Compressor has failed & needs to be replaced by obtaining a new replacement from Japan for which I need to pay, which I agreed to & it was done. However the Refrigerator stopped working again within few months & so it has been for the last 5 years. Hitachi Service Engineers come & repair the refrigerator charging major amounts since it is now out of warranty but it stops working within few months. The last repair was done in Oct’2011 & within 30 days the Refrigerator again stopped working. So over the last 6 years this Hitachi Refrigerator hasn’t been in a functional state for more than 1 year.
Buyers beware of this Brand for its poor product quality & even worse Customer Service which is disgraceful
