Ahem Ahem, so we are talking Love and Dating!
Well , well …Hitch is a story about a dating consultant who sets up a date for you and takes you through the process of wooing your date all the way. The consultant ensures everything you do is picture perfect so that the fish takes the bait. Its quite a funny way of treating relationships in a manner of saying, but then, if it works for you, you may as well try it out rather than be a looser!
On a slightly serious note, I guess relationships are all about spontaneity, compatibility and charm which if you don’t see in someone, its not gonna work out. Its not something you can push through to”get-the-job-done” (as is portrayed in Hitch) but more about taking a walk, holding hands in a garden in the moonlight….
I personally have no fascination for Will Smith but he does his job as expected-nothing extraordinary but not any major flaws as well (What with the character itself having a ridiculous job, I can’t blame the actor!:)…)
I like the acting by one of his clients-the fat guy who wants to lure his CEO who has an hourglass figure and a lot aura around her. (But I didn’t find her physically very attractive—her face has too much acne). I specifically like the way the fat guy dances (or rather wants to let loose completely but is ordered by Mr.Smith to refrain to subtle pub dancing moves)
Mr.Smith in the process also finds a been-there-done-that kind of journalist date and they both indulge in some silly Mars-Venus type of pseudo intellectual mind game conversation in a pub which didn’t quite make any sense to me.
It’s a silly movie, but its fun—a sort of a movie which you can watch on a lazy Sunday evening when you have nothing else to do. I did just that with 2 of my friends, but them being girls liked the movie while I enjoyed my cola and popcorn.
