I booked the tickets for Bangalore one week before for journey on 30/04/2013. As I have traveled once in HKB & had a fair experience, I thought , I should book again while traveling with my family.
But the biggest shoker, came from HKB one day before the journey. The person from HKB called up & informed me that the bus for 30.04.2013 has been canceled. When, I asked how can you are saying that there will be no bus plying 7 I have to make alternate arrangements in this peak season, he simply said the bus is under breakdown & the service will not be available. He said for any clarification contact head office in Bangalore.
When, I contacted their head office, initially the lady said the bus service is available or not will be intimated in the evening, but I said a HKB person called up & has given the information. Sh said the bus will not ply & she will cancel the tickets. Refund will be made within one week. When, I checked the mail it was cash a coupon saying that I can avail it for booking for next one year validity instead of refunding whole amount & apologizing for their mess.
I was able to get 3 tickets with KSRTC Airavat (last seats).
As, I was waiting for my bus in Navi Mumbai , the same canceled bus of HKB Travels took passengers from the same boarding point.
Now this is clearly evident that the HKB travels is cheating passengers by forcefully cancelling the tickets by saying that the bus is under breakdown & it will not ply. The same cancelled tickets are sold at higher rates to earn more money.
So, no more HKB travels booking. ’’The Big cheaters’’.
A very casual approach by HKB. Now will think 100 times before buying tickets for such tour operator.
I think, VRL is more reliable as compared to other tour operators on this route.
As there is no control of government over such errant travel companies can anybody suggests where to lodge complaints against these companies with some stringent action.
