It is indigenously made first wrist watches. Still having the one of the best quality and at an affordable price. My employer( a CPSU) gifted me a HMT make quartz watch on completion of my 10 years service in the CPSU and in the year 1986. I am very proud of my watch and still I use the same continuously. Still it looks as new as it was. Indians are proud of it but unfortunately the union government has murdered the company HMT.
My request to the Union Government, Management and Employees of the HMT family is to take a vow to bring back its glory and adopt an aggressive marketing of their all products whether it is watch or machine tools or tractors. Still now it has the capability.
