This book is a joy to read, both because of the story itself and the writing style. To me this is Tolkien’s best work of all. Compared to the Lord of the Rings, this book is an easy read, yet full of rich descriptions and action. Any one interested in fantasy stories should check out this one. While in the same universe as Lord of the Rings, the events of the Hobbit precede the famous trilogy.
