WHEN A KID BECOMES THE ONLY MAN OF THE HOUSE!

Home Alone was one the best and enjoyable movies I saw a long time back. And the story is based on the most probably dream of every child’s fantasy where he defends his house or family from the bad guys. The movie is from one of the most successful writer and directory John Hughes who found the techniques to make the audience see the movies again and again. The movie is fairly a family-oriented comedy with a lot of christmas fever all over the movie.

Home Alone is one probable movie which is liked by everyone especially by kid’s and mom’s. And it is quite popular universally too, which became a sort of modern classic for some. And I believe it definitely was a classic movie which deserved a status of classic. The movie had everything stuff you name it drama, sentimental, comedy, sillyness and cartoonish wound together to create an excellent entertainment movie. The child Macauly Culkin, who became popular universally is evenly today identified by this movie name Kevin.

The movie starts out with a family getting ready for the Christmas Vacation (in Paris) in the huge suburban Chicago house with 14 other family members. The whole house is fully messed with the noise of the insane children and eccentric adults running all around the house. Kevin is expected to pack his own suitcase, which he does by packing full of comic books and one sneaker. Kevin being the smallest is being picked up for all the wrong reasons around and ignored by everyone. And he is even called by his uncle as a ’’little jerk’’. This leads Kevin to attack his brother during the dinner and then gets punished.

Now the entire family has to get up in the early morning to catch their flight to Paris and the family expects Kevin to get up and be ready. Kevin goes to sleep by asking for wish saying ’’let all my family member’s disappear’’ and enjoy’s his sleep happily and get’s left behind in the mad panic of flying to France for the Christmas Vacation. Kevin being a 8-year old kid gets up and finds that he has been left behind by his family. He is delighted to find himself alone in the huge house and for the wish coming true. And the complete family doesn’t realise that they had left behind Kevin in the house alone until they reach France.

From here the movie takes you on a joy ride of the kid’s active imaginations which is considered as crazy by most of the adults. Kevin starts to do what is not supposed to do such as watch R-rated movies, eating junk food, looking at his brother’s personal belongings, sleeping in his parent’s bed, shaving, do laundry, go shopping and every possible things imaginable.

Harry and Marv the small time burglars come to realise that Kevin is alone in the house and keep an eye on Kevin’s house. After getting confirmed he is alone they plan to rob the house. Kevin being the Man of the House plants booby traps that makes the burglars get slapped everytime they try it again and again. And find themselves in all type of traps with glue, feathers, tar, nails, matchbox cars, lots of ice, smashed ornaments, cut ropes, etc all over them.

The movie has some of the funniest and memorable scenes. And this is perhaps one of the most memorable child starring roles in the movie history. Now if you love all those silly and stupid things in a movie, then you shouldn’t miss this movie. And particularly this movie is a fantastic movie to be viewed with your family. Now get those packs of Popcorn’s and sit along with your kids to enjoy those memorable moments of the movie!
