I bought a cot and a mattress from Home Centre in Alwarpet, Chennai. They are part of Lifestyle group and they deal with furniture, home utils etc. They are one of the costliest in the city but the quality of the item will be great, there’s no doubt about it. While checking the cot, I was told that once booked, it will be delivered in 4 days. I went on a Saturday and they said it will be delivered by Tuesday. I paid the whole amount expecting that I will get the items by Tue.
No one called me on Tue from the store and when I called them they said, they will deliver only by Thu. I felt bad but nothing I can do, so I just didn’t mind. As said, the items are delivered on Thu but they didn’t assemble to cot. When inquired, the guy who came to deliver said you have to call the store. When I called the store they said they will check and give me a call. The guy left and I was waiting for the call from the store but nothing happened. I again called them next day and I’m told they will send someone today. When asked about why I wasn’t informed about this, there is no answer.
Evening came and still no call. I called them again and was told that they will check and come back to me, but nothing happened. I thought I will wait only for one day and if they fail, I decided to return the items. Out of curiosity I called them and I was given the carpenter number to check when he will come. I really was pissed off this time as I felt this is their duty. Since I have given the money, I called him up and he said he will come in the evening. Luckily he didn’t disappoint me and as said the cot was assembled.
The reason why I’m writing this review is for the way I was made to call them several times and the way they responded to my call. I didn’t expect such a pathetic service from such a big group. Because of the quality of the product I’m giving 1 star.
