Home Shop is a Big Flop. Because its delivery service in Kolkata is more than horrible.
The extremely efficient(!) Courier company they have engaged here(some obscure name I don’t know, not Blue Dart, DTDC etc), cannot locate an address in the very heart of Kolkata in Esplanade area, near Roxy cinema theater! First time they delivered after ten times calling and that too after ten days; second time they simply did not deliver.
And the so-called customer friendly home-shop entrusts their delivery service to such unfriendly, rather ignorant and apathetic courier company. I am getting goods at the very same address from Flipkart, Amazon, Starcj, Fashion and You and only the excellent Home Shop Courier is unable to deliver goods at that address. Even Home Shop did not bother to contact me even after my complaint is lodged. A most customer-unfriendly attitude.
If a TV shop fails with delivery it fails in the very basic element of shopping and completely looses its credibility, no matter if the item is of good quality or not. SO, BY FAILING TO DELIVER GOODS TO THE CUSTOMER, HOME SHOP HAS MISERABLY FAILED TO DELIVER THE GOODS.
And who will care to purchase from them and invite trouble by calling frequently to waste time and energy? In other places in India, Lucknow or Guwahati I never had any problem as a better courier company is working for Home Shop there. So Home Shop I will drop from my list of shopping retailers - as long as I am in Kolkata.
