I think it was the biggest mistake of my life when I gave Home Town contract to build my modular kitchen and wardrobe. During booking itself they demanded 50% as advance. They promised me that the entire installation would get get done within 35 days.
However, after 45 days also things were not in place. The entire modular set gets designed and manufactured in factory in Nagpur and Home Town guys again have little or no control over these people it seems. Once the consignment came, Mr Vishal from Home Town told me that they will send the consignment to my house only if I make the full payment. I had no choice but to make the full payment. After this only the goods were shipped to my house.
After innumerous phone calls to sales people and to Mr Vishal the sales head (mobile 9341230651), things at last started to move and they sent one carpenter to do the assembly of the modular cabinets. Home town does not employ their own carpenters to do the installation rather they outsource this job to a group of carpenters. As is quite obvious the Home Town guys are in complete mercy of these carpenters and they decide when and how they will work.
The quality of the carpenters is very shoddy to say the least and I had to pay them extra to keep them happy and motivated to do my work. As luck would have it there were missing pieces in the consignment and the carpenter could not finish the work. I have been chasing Home Town and Mr. Vishal since last 2 and half months, calling every other day, but till now they have not finished my kitchen and wardrobe.
So, please beware of these cheats before you give them contract for your interiors.
