We shifted to Bellandur 4 months ago and I have been ever since wanting to visit Hometown. My husband had been there to buy a ceiling fan and he said the store is nice with all home stuff under a single roof. We visited it last Sunday and I was quite amazed to see the deserted parking space. I was expecting quite some crowd during weekend. we saw all four floors and one thing about it none of the staff ever asked us if we were looking for anything and we need any help.. its fine as we hadn’t been there for any specific stuff so it didn’t bother help but then still no one offered any help.. anyways I liked their bathroom collection and also the discounts and thought I should come here when I am planning my home.
In furnishing section I thought of buying a few bed sheets as they had some discounts going on..I asked if some one can help me and open and show me the sheet so that I can see the design and select. There were two guys and one of them was telling the other in Kannada "Tell them we wont open and show if they want to buy they should just look at the outside packet we cant open and show" I asked the other guy who seemed a bit decent that how can we buy without knowing what the design is? if a picture was included I wouldn’t ask to open and if you have a problem opening and showing your product say so decently. He said he will only show the pillow covers and we have to decide.
I don’t know why I did not come out then itself and I did pick two bed sheets from there. I asked the guy again and again atleast 7-8 times if the colors would bled or it would have bobbles after wash and he said he guarantees the quality. We reached the billing counter and after the billing was done I asked him if I could please take another extra small cover as I had my baby’s sipper in my hand and I could keep this in it. He refused saying we dont give extra covers. Covers only for the purchase. There was another guy who was his superior and my husband requested him we need a cover can we take one small cover and he flatly refused - Such rude people. I was also pissed off and hence I demanded that they better put the sheets in proper covers then and not stuff them both in a small cover. Now they put them both separately in bigger covers.
Now the quality of the product was pathetic. We put the sheet on the bed and my baby slept on it. we noticed later that my baby’s face had become red because the sheets color came on his face due to his drool.. now if baby’s drool would cause this what would happen after a wash BTW it was no cheap sheet each sheet was priced at Rs1100/- now I don’t expect this quality for such a high price.
The next day morning we went back and returned the sheets and spoke to the same guy who guaranteed the quality and let him know that due to his assurance we bought this and now since it is of such low quality they should take it back and after such bad experience at their store we do not wish to buy anything else and hence wanted a refund. Al he can say is hmm we doidnt know this product is like this sorry it is bad but we cant give refund. They did not refund and instead gave us a receipt which we have to use within a month.
This store would have been such a great place if only they had better customer service. ppl there hadrly know what it mneans.
