Refund denied for non-service

I made an initial payment of Rs 25, 000 as the team promised to deliver the kitchen within 45 days. However, the timeline shared is now more than 60 days, which is unreasonable for a kitchen. Additionally, the team was explicitly informed that our moving date is in the first week of Dec’24, and we cannot extend beyond that, which leaves a 45-day window. The team agreed to this timeframe during our discussion. However, when they shared the actual timeline, they extended it(mid Jan’25).


As a result, we decided not to proceed with HomeLane and requested a refund. However, the team surprised me by stating that they would only issue a Rs 25, 000 voucher. This is disappointing, as this amount represents someone’s hard-earned money. Forcing a customer to accept a voucher instead of a refund for a service not received is unjustifiable. Simply issuing a refund would resolve the matter without the need for coercion to purchase something unnecessary.
