Home Shikari is indeed very dependable only till the time they are to receive your payments. Once its done, they will simply forget you and you will have to crawl on your knees to receive updates!
I got into the trap as I got my encumbrance certificate cleared by them. However after speaking to other brokers I found out I have paid an unnecessary premium. I was OK with that as at least I could trust a brand name.
Next I mentioned my Khata(God knows why?) and I was shot with a barrage of sweet promises and easy receipt of the khata in no time. This was in Feb 2015. After months and months of follow up(by me) and endless documents and of course notarization charges etc. I was told that the Khata cannot be processed. I still followed up for some favorable results, but I was told it cant be done as the Govt. is refusing to allocate Khata for unknown reasons.
And in January 2016 I was refunded less than half of what I had paid. These deductions were for effort charges, service charges and notarization fees.
Please be very careful if you deal with them. I would suggest going to a local broker if you speak Kannada or know someone trustworthy as Home Shikari will definitely make you pull your hairs once they have received their payments!
