Online purchase is catching on in India and usually the sites are quick to respond. However, if things go wrong, they just wash their hands off the product and want to send it back, which is a hassle for most of us. The numbers given by one site at least - Homeshop18 - are useless.
I ordered an Adage tablet 707 with keyboard on Homeshop18. It was delivered in two days. But my excitement in receiving it soon evaporated as the product was defective; it seemed like a cheap Chinese product with limited capability. The keyboard supplied was not compatible with the tablet. The stylus did not work. The tablet blanked out after some usage and was difficult to charge(one could either connect the charger or the keyboard).
I tried calling Homeshop18 and after 10 minutes of holding the line the operator told me to call again, the system was not working. I submitted a ticket ion their website and it got replied to after a few days, that I should send the tablet back. But there was no mention of replacement/refund. I was asked to scan the AWB bill of the courier but Homeshop18 does not tell me where it is to be sent.
It seems Homeshop18 is a supplier of cheap Chinese goods and has not backup or after sales service support. They do not reply properly and do not provide any service.
Avoid Homeshop18. Buy from the local store instead!
