My name is Nitin, please allow me to share my nightmare experience I had with Homeshop18 website. On 19 August 2011, I tried to purchase a mobile phone from homeshop 18 online. My initial 6 payment attempts were unsuccessful as their website stated, "Your payment was not successful, please try agin. Finally the 7th attempt was successful and my payment went through for an order. Guess what, after sometime, I received an sms from my bank stating total 5 payments were debited through my card account. I was surprised to hear this as out of 7 attempts, only one was successful, so why I was charged 5 times. I immediately contacted Homeshop18 and they advised me that the remaining 4 payments will be refunded automatically within 24 hours and only one order will be shipped.
They never processed a refund, infact they shipped the 4 items on 21 August 2011. Its because of their suspicious and faulty system, payment was debited 5 times instead of once. Now they are not willing to refund as I have been contacting them on numerous occasions, they asked me to send the item back once courier comes in at the doorstep, but no courier has come until now, today is 4 September. This is totally unacceptable as they are neither sending the product so that I can return for a refund, not they are refunding themselves. My credit card statement has already been generated and my bank is gonna charge me interest for something that I never ordered. I am helpless at this moment because of the insecure, suspicious, fake and irresponsible behavior from Homeshop18. I have been a customer on good websites like Flipkart.com from years and never faced any issues. However; this was my first purchase with the Homeshop 18 and they have shown how they are!
