Last year November 29th, After watching their tv channel HS18, I was tempted to order one their product in TV "Ezy Home Electric Insect Killer" order no 959403151.
This product is supposed to attract the mosquitoes and electrocute and kill them. The claim is it will cleanse the home from mosquitoes menace in no time.
The product arrived on time, happy to see the product. Switched on the product in a mosquitoe haunted area to test. To my surprise none of the mosquitoes were interested in this new gadget from HomeShop18! These mosquitoes were happy feasting the blood of the human race around them without realizing that I bought this miraculous product from HomeShop18. So nothing dramatic happened as claimed on their TV channel.
I tried to test in multiple locations/dark areas/ whole night. So the product does not work as intended. By now it was very clear I fell prey to their mosquito insect killer! Not the real mosquitoes.
I needed to resolve this issue with them. Now the real trouble started! Called their customer care about this issue and I wanted to get refund after sending this fake product, they told within 48 hours somebody will call me to pick up the fake product and refund me. Even after 1 week nobody called me from HS18. Again I called them to remind and they ask me to wait another 48 hours. As usual nothing happens after 3-4days. Called them 3rd time, again the customer executive was apologetic and asks for another 48 hours. This time I really got pissed off and asked him to transfer the call to his senior.
The senior clearly tells me they cant refund and it never happens with HS18. How arrogant was he! But he assures somebody will call me in next 24hours. So it was a futile exercise to deal with these morons. Out of frustration, I stopped following up with them when it has become ultra clear to me that I am thoroughly cheated by this fraud company. And they have electricuted a hapless customer successfully with their tricks.
After one month after this episode, suddenly HopeShop18 woke up(god knows what triggered them). They offered to replace for any other product of the same value. I was happy to oblige to their offer and asked for a different product of the similar face value.
So after 1.5 months of delivery, they picked up the fake Insect Killer back. Since past 2 weeks I am waiting for the replacement of a different product I asked. Nothing seems to be in card and It looks like mega episode to get the item.
By the way they sent a mail 1 week back that they will send a cheque for refund!. Nothing happens except the email and when I call their call center they say different story that I will get the product I asked for replacement. This also seems to be a distant possibility.
So there home shop 18 is making a series of lies and excuses.
I don’t think this is their rare goof-ups. Looks like they do these kind of malpractices every time you try to replace those fake products. You can search the mouthshut hopeshop18 reviews(Genuine) with 1 star. Almost everybody has a similar experience as mine.
These guys don’t even deserve single star!
Beware of this company which is doing such unethical business and stay away from ordering anything from them not to get tempted from either on their TV Channel, their website.
