I was trying to place an order on 26th Jan using coupon code AL15SAVE which offered 15% discount (max upto Rs. 2250) on appliances and it was applicable from 23rd to 27th Jan. But when I tried to use the code, it just showed that it has been used, which was not used by me.
When I called the helpline no., the executive spoke to me quite rudely and told that there was a limit to no. of people who could use the same. And it has been exhausted. But no such condition was mentioned in the offer, like first 100 customers could avail the offer between 23rd to 27th Jan. He also told me that we dont understand these conditions, which HS18 has been following since inception. This is not acceptable for any company.
My suggestion is that the company should mention all the conditions (associated with the coupons) clearly on the website itself and should not expect that the customer will be informed if he/she calls at their helpline. Also should train the executives well on how to speak with the customers and not blame them for the mistakes committed by the company. He was just trying to cover up the same.
