I am a regular customer of HS18 and have already bought couple of items from them. However, my last experience with HS18 is not as satisfactory as previous ones. This gave me a bitter feeling that HS18 is seriously fooling customers.
On 25th July, I ordered a set of jewelry combo from HS18 and was informed the order will be delivered in 6 to 7 days. I did not hear anything from them till 2nd August. I started following up with them and theirvendor for delivery. At last on 6th Aug, a package was delivered to me - a wrong product package.
Explanation: The product shown on TV and HS18 Website is out of stock. Hence new combo was created for me. So sweet. I immediately requested for refund and sent the same package back to their vendor - Mayur Pearls in Hyderabad on 9th Aug(Thanks to non-working of TNT on weekends)
The product was valued at INR 2999.00 of which I utilized a HS18 provided Gift Coupon worth INR 500.00 Balance INR 2499.00 was provided on Cash on Delivery basis.
The refund got processed and I got my cheque of INR 2499.00 back. I called HS18 to check if I can reuse the GC; the answer was "No. The GC is non-refundable and cannot be re-used again." I again explained the story of wrong product delivery. To which I was told, "If we(HS18) cancel the order, we can refund the GC. In this case, you(me) have canceled the order." Now I understood the reason behind the sweetness of creating new combo for me.
The loss I went through was on the Gift Coupon which I was supposed to get back. Not to forget about time, efforts and energy spent in follow ups. I request readers to be careful while dealing with such online and home shopping providers. You may end up in stress and still get nothing - no product, no GC.
