I frequently shop on-line and my experience with Home Shop 18 is very bad.
I bought a mobile from home shop18 and after one week, I could not get
delivery of it.I did not get proper response to my e-maisl as well. The only reason I considered Homeshop18 is because it belongs to TV18.There was an EMI scheme with ICICI which is supposed to be entirely free.But it is not true.They charge what they call service charge which is equivalent to interest.
Few points I did not like about home shop 18.
1)Customer service is very bad or does not exist.
2)No respect to the customer at all.They wont inform customer by mails about order/payment status.
3)No safety/redressal mechanisms in case some seller cheats a buyer.This is very dangerous as you dont see the sellers face you only see Homeshop18 logo and trust them.
4)The site does not have a place to capture customer feedback which shows their commitment to customer is NIL.They are acting like a CARELESS BROKER who does not care what is being sold as long as they get thier money.
5)They asked me my credit card statement after I paid them by card.Oooopppsssss..!!!!
I could not understand why they want it ..!!!!!
6) I sent mny e-mails and those guys does not care to respond.Highly UN PROFESSIONL
I then went on to see how these guys do businesss.
One important thing I noticed is Homeshop18 does not take care of its customers in any manner after purchase.They just act as intermediaries between a seller and you and they will not help you in any manner once you pay the money.It gives ample scope for count less number of cheats who sell damaged/counterfiet goods as Homeshop18 does not own any responisbility what so ever.if you look at e-bay model, buyer has the option of giving a negative rating for a fradulant seller so that the seller will not get business if he cheats a customer.When I left some negtive feedback on e-bay seller immediately called me on mobile to discuss and settle the issue .There is no such provision in Homeshop18.There is very little a buyer can do after buying from Homeshop18.
STAY AWAY FROM HOME SHOP18 and tell TV18 that they need to improve other wise they will endup as front end for cheats.
Information that is importnt to customer should be placed
prominenetly so that customer wont miss it.The term & conditions
are not placed in a redily visibile manner.It makes customer miss the
following important term.

SO FOLKS....IT MAKE SENSE TO STAY AWAY FROM HOME SHOP 18 TILL THEY IMPROVE...!!!
ONLINE SHOPPING SUCCEEDS ONLY IF CUSTOMERS CONCERNS ARE ADDRESSED.ANY ONE WHO IS NOT THINKING FROM CUSTOMERS SIDE IN ONLINE BUSINESS IS PROMOTING CHEATS.
WISH HOMESHOP18 uses some of its respectable brains and faces to ensure better service and safe on-line shopping.
