I am undergoing with very bad experience with HomeTown. Basically I booked Modular kichen in Month of Jan 2011. At that time I told them that my Flat is under construction and they said its okay You can still go ahead and book the order. I paid 10000Rs. as advance.
Later in Jan2012 they called me and told if you wont proceed and complete the deal you may need to pay more money as material cost is increasing. They did not tell me in the begining that whatever prize is finalized can change later.
due to this problem I decided to cancel the order becoz it was going over my head in budget. initially they told they will give me Credit Note so I can buy something else. Later after multiple calls they came up with new shock saying they wont return any money. It was not 100rs Its 10000 hard earn money. They told that there is clause in the bill receipt itself that once sold item will not be taken back. But here we have not even taken any item it was just a booking.
At the latest I files case in consumer court. If I am going to loose 10000 then I wont have problem to spend another 10K to teach them lesson. I am also going to explore more to drag them into legal procedings if require.
If you are willing to buy something from Home Town - Hyderabad. BEWARE!! You will be fooled in many ways.
