FabFurnish seems to be improving

I had bought goods worth almost 90000 in solid wood furniture. this was in november 2013. the order was delivered with almost half the order damaged by the delivery partners and the other half was faulty in design. this is after they promise a thorough check by their quality team.


Anyway, that was one major issue. Finally, all the products were dispatched again to my satisfaction.


The funny part is their responses either through email of telephone is a standard one.


Anyway, leaving all this behind, I ordered a center table set which said that was the last one in their inventory.


I had read a lot about them canceling the order at the last minute. But I still ordered on the 11th Dec 2013.


I called up their customer service on 16th dec2013 and was told that the item is ready to be shipped out either by 16th Dec 2013 or 17th Dec 2013. And guess what, I get a call on 17th Dec 2013 at around 11.45 am , saying that the product did not meet their quality standards and so it is cancelled.


On asking the lady, when I would get my money back, she says in 3 - 4 business days.


I placed the order during the GOSF 2013 where I got 30% discount on the product.


That was the biggest mistake as looks like fabfurnish just wanted to be a part of the google initiative and nothing else.


As they are not fulfilling their commitment for the said order.


I had read about these kind of issues with fab furnish but still decided to give them my business. But looks like they are not really interested in doing business in the long term and just here for the short haul.


Looks like Rocket Internet has a dud in their hands here in India.


Will definitely never buy from them again and will definitely not recommend them at all.

I see the same product available. So tried calling the co-founder and also messages him saying I was ready to place the order again and give them another chance to redeem themselves.


But guess what? No luck and no response from him.


I wanted him to honor his word about the discount, so that I could buy the same product again this time.


But guess they don’t want to keep their promises about the same. They have lost a customer for sure and I will advise anyone else not to buy from these guys.


Looks like they are here only for the short term and not for the long haul.

I was pleasantly surprised to receive a reply from the said founder of the company and he was apologetic about the delay in replying. I can live with that. And he also kept his promise to give me the discount as promised. So I can now see they are serious about their business and that a good thing for us customers. Guess they had a few bad apples which I believe have been thrown out. And I placed the order for the coffee table finally yesterday. Just waiting for it to be delivered as promised.  Just hope the courier company does not break it like last time.


More later once it’s delivered.

Okay, I have received the product as promised. There was a slight delay in the delivery schedule, but the good thing is that I received an email apprising me of the same. And I really appreciate that. The product really looks good. In fact, I can safely say it looks better than the photos on the website.


And luckily this time, I have nothing to complain about. Will definitely look out for more products from fabfurnish. The good thing is that what started off as a bad experience has definitely turned pleasant over a period of 6 months.


Looks like all’s well that ends well.
