Honda Accord Hybrid

Good: A Brio with a boot, but not a half hearted affair, the Amaze is well engineered and well positioned car. The 1.2-litre petrol engine makes driving fun.

Bad: Bland interiors and adding a bit more money gets you the diesel powered Amaze.

Verdict: Amaze is a respectable car. It does everything right and if the Brio is small for you and you don’t need the fuel economy of diesel, the Amaze petrol is the car to go for. And it bears the Honda logo.

Good: Honda’s affordable sedan gets the same petrol engine from the Brio and with the automatic gearbox, it proves to be a very good city car too. Honda’s quality and reliability add to the value.

Bad: Rather simple interiors not everyone’s favourite.

Verdict: Honda has created a dent in its competitors’ sales figures with the Amaze. And while diesel version of the Amaze continues to bring large numbers, it’s the Automatic which takes away the pain of shifting gears in city traffic.
